Afternoon Tea Wedding Celebration

There’s a marketing exercise where you imagine your ideal couple. The idea is that this perfect (for you) couple become “real” in your head. You direct all your marketing activities at them and your (real life) perfect clients fall over themselves to book you. Well folks, imagine my surprise when my ‘dream’ couple came to life and booked me to shoot their afternoon tea wedding celebration! Linsey and Adam, I’m talking about you guys!

I flipping love house music. If you follow me on social media you’ll be aware of my excitement when I got tickets to see Swedish House Mafia. In fact, excitement is an understatement. I CANNOT WAIT! Our conversation rapidly shifted from weddings to Creamfields when I found out that Linsey and Adam are huge fans too! We’ve also made plans to head to Tomorrowland together too which will be incredible!

Afternoon Tea Wedding Reception at King’s Croft

Enough house music chat for now, you guys are here to see Linsey and Adam’s brilliant afternoon tea wedding! They had booked King’s Croft Hotel in Pontefract, a Grade 2 listed building set in acres of grounds and surrounded by fields. Their wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful glass house, as an added bonus for Linsey the ceremony was in the late afternoon so she had a nice, leisurely bride prep. It makes everything so relaxed when people aren’t rushing the bride along or constantly checking the time.

After the ceremony Linsey and Adam spent some time with their guests. We then headed in to enjoy their afternoon tea wedding reception. I always love a good brew at a wedding!

Sunset Portraits

Now the evenings are drawing in it feels like our glorious summer was a lifetime ago. I’ll admit that at times I got a little too hot shooting weddings but the light was always amazing in the evenings. Linsey and Adam’s day was no exception. We ventured out to a wheat field for portraits during the wedding reception. However I knew that if we headed out again we’d get something really special. As the sun was setting the three of us made our way out to the fields surrounding King’s Croft for a few photos. It was also a good opportunity for Linsey and Adam to have a quick practice of their first dance too!

Linsey and Adam, what can I say?! You guys are so much fun to hang out with and I can’t wait for our Tomorrowland trip.  Whilst we’re on the subject of you being amazing, a huge thank you for my goodie bag too guys, I loved it!

Thankyou to Katie Macmillan for second shooting

Linsey says:
We had just got our photos back. I can’t express how much we love them! From start the finish Stevie has been amazing! Her relaxed approach on the day is so good. We have some gorgeous photos which we can look back on forever! Everyone we have spoken to have said how brilliant she was on the day! Couldn’t recommend her more!
