Bashall Barn Wedding Photography
I was so giddy when Lucy and Carl booked me for their Bashall Barn wedding back in November. The first thing I did was Google the venue and the area, and instantly I fell in love. I love everything about the barn, the farm, the newly built ceremony room and the gorgeous scenery that surrounds Bashall Barn. Anyone that knows me knows I’m obsessed with animals. I couldn’t wait to meet the cows! 😀
Bashall Barn is set in the Ribble Valley, one mile away from Clitheroe. This unique, rural venue is perfect for couples looking for something different in the Lancashire area. Their newly built Bashall Brook ceremony room overlooks the beautiful valley and fells.
Relaxed bridal preparations
Starting the day, I arrived at Fifty One and a Half Boutique to photograph Lucy and her bridesmaids getting ready. The girls were doing their make up whilst finishing off a bag of croissants – obviously the best breakfast! The agreement was if Lucy gets nervous, she’s piggybacked around the building until she’s feeling better! Haha!
After a pretty relaxed afternoon, the girls helped Lucy into her stunning Ava Rose Hamilton dress, whilst the girls wore a lovely, floaty dress from Boohoo. Another few deep breaths and it was time to leave for their ceremony!
A Farm Wedding
Bashall Barn is home to a large cow shed and even a goat! No wedding would be complete without a trip to see the animals during your couple portraits! As a photographer, I’m always looking for cool areas and backdrops to use during a wedding day and this place is full of them! We chose to take a little trip into Waddington as Lucy and Carl wanted 10 minutes to relax, but if you’re pushed for time, so there’s so many areas to use on the farm!
I am sooo looking forward to more farm weddings in future!
