Elsecar Heritage Centre Wedding Photography
There’s no rest for the wicked they say, as someone thought it would be a good idea to take on a wedding on their birthday (for the second year running!). Turns out, it was actually a good idea, as I had the best time with Anna and Jim at their Elsecar Heritage Centre wedding back in July.
Described as a ‘unique attraction’ and ‘a working hub of history’, Elsecar Heritage Centre doubles up as a shopping experience as well as a museum and is ideal for a family visit on a weekend. The main building is hired out for weddings and events and fits up to 900 inside! Elsecar is certainly different and suits an industrial styled wedding to a tee.
Rain On Your Wedding Day
The weather definitely wasn’t on our side that day. Scroll down to see the mammoth puddle outside! Despite this, these two carried on doing their thing and didn’t let it spoil their day at all. Luckily we managed to sneak out for some couple photos later in the day. A quick 10 minutes was all we were treated to before the heavens opened again.
If there’s anything to take away from this, it’s that if you’re planning a wedding in the UK, always plan for rain. And never ever let it spoil your fun!
Thank you so much Anna and Jim for inviting me to be part of your Elsecar Heritage Centre wedding in Barnsley. I had a cracking day! Thanks again to Jamie Sia for second shooting
Anna and Jim say:
“Stevie. What a gem. She captured every moment of our day in such a real, beautiful way. The photos are awesome!”
