Halifax Wedding Photographer

As a Halifax wedding photographer I tend to shoot most of my weddings throughout the whole of Yorkshire. This venue in particular though was a special one for me as it’s located very near to where I was brought up in Sowerby Bridge. At least I know I can’t get lost! haha I’m super excited to share Sally and Christian’s awesome Halifax wedding with you! I initially met with the couple at a cute coffee shop in Huddersfield. After chatting for a little while it became clear that their wedding was set to be amazing and definitely one I wanted to be part of! The two of them met each other at a camp in America and after their first dance, their “camp song” was played – Waka Waka by Shakira. I can’t help but sing this song every time I see their images now!

Wedbarn Tipi Venue

The couple decided to have both their ceremony and reception at a new venue called Wedbarn. The ceremony was held inside a single tipi hat out on the grounds, whilst the meal and dancing were inside a rustic barn. They decided to have a handfasting ceremony alongside readings and many personal touches. The weather stayed lovely for us all day, meaning everyone could chat and celebrate outside in the gardens. Wedbarn is an exclusive use venue and only holds 12 weddings per year, which feels just that bit more special! The surrounding areas and country lanes make for a beautiful backdrop for couple portraits too!

Colourful Festival Wedding

Sally and Christian decided on a fabulous colourful festival themed wedding and it certainly didn’t disappoint! I am in love with festival themed weddings at the best of times, but team this with the beautiful countryside, a DIY barn and an array of colours and I’ll jump at the chance! The bridesmaids all wore different coloured dresses which meant they weren’t stuck to one colour scheme. The colour also continued throughout their amazing drip cake, gorgeous wild bouquets and glitter bar! It was amazing to see two cultures come together – British and German and see guests having a great time! Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the couple also hired a pizza truck for their evening food! Nom nom!

Sally and Christian, I genuinely loved being a part of your day! Here’s a small selection of my favourite images from your Halifax wedding! Thank you to Matt and Amy for second shooting!
