Middleton Lodge Wedding Photography
My first wedding of 2019 saw me up in North Yorkshire for Ellie and Tom’s Middleton Lodge wedding. This was my first time shooting at this stunning venue and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Middleton Lodge just so happened to be waaayyy nicer than I expected and I honestly can’t wait to photograph another wedding there!
Middleton Lodge can be found nestled in Richmond in 200 acres of rural land. Couple’s have a choice of ceremony location and are free to use the estate for photographs. Ellie and Tom chose to have their ceremony in the main house by the staircase, but with 70 odd guests it got pretty tight!
Relaxed Bridal Preparations
I met with the girls in the Coach House whilst they were having their hair and make up done. Once the Bridal suite was ready in the main house, we rushed across before Tom and his guys arrived. The girls got ready early so they had plenty of time to relax and enjoy a drink. I snuck off part way through to get some shots of the ceremony room set up and check in on the guys. Doesn’t the ceremony backdrop look amazing?!
Woodland Couple’s Portraits
After the all important formal bits, the guests headed outside for the drinks reception. It’s during this part of the day where I take the couple’s off for a little walk to get some relaxed and fun shots of just the two of them. It allows everyone to have a breather and some quiet time before heading back to start the family group photos.
Middleton Lodge is surrounded by a huge woodland area, so it was only right we hopped over the barrier and got in touch with nature for 10 minutes haha. The grounds and garden make for a beautiful backdrop on your wedding day!
Ellie and Tom had their wedding breakfast, speeches and the rest of the evening inside the marquee – just to the side of the main house.
Thanks so much guys for booking me to capture your beautiful, relaxed day at Middleton Lodge. Here’s my favourite bits!
