Sun Pavilion Harrogate Wedding Photography
Meet one of the cutest couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing – these two were so much fun to work with and I remember grinning from ear to ear as I drove home from the Sun Pavilion, Harrogate. One of those “is this really my job?!” moments! They decorated the Sun Pavilion with some of my favourite things – painted wooden ducks, cacti and colourful lanterns! During the speeches I remember hearing that they raced each other at Sudoku puzzles and thinking, that’s so me! Yep, I’m a bit of a geek! Haha. It was my first trip to the Sun Pavilion and I would SO LOVE to go again!
Autumn wedding at Sun Pavilion, Harrogate
I’m a Yorkshire girl through and through and I do have a real soft spot for Yorkshire in the autumn. Yes it can be harsh and a bit chilly, and it may well…sshhhh, rain… However, when you have as beautiful a venue as the Sun Pavilion, Harrogate you can’t go wrong even if you end up stuck indoors all day. Bryony and Alasdair had told me they’d chosen the venue because of the pretty stained glass dome ceiling, yet I still wasn’t expecting how unique and stunning it looked until I saw it myself! It’s pretty damn spectacular and lets so much wonderful light into the room.
Bryony and Alasdair couldn’t have chosen a better day. It was pretty windy, but no rain! They wanted to really make the most of the outdoor space the Pavilion has to offer. They’d actually got engaged on top of Loughrigg in the Lake District and are big fans of the outdoors. We made sure we strolled into the park for portraits so they could get a bit of time to chill out together.
Outdoor Autumn Wedding Ceremony
Now we all know just how unpredictable the good old British weather can be. I was a little concerned (I admit it!) when they said they were planning an outdoor ceremony in November. I’m so glad to say I was wrong! Festooned with colourful lanterns and a gorgeous floral arch the terrace looked absolutely incredible. Everyone snuggled together to keep warm. As Bryony said, it was as close to being outside as you could get in November!
With these two the pictures really do all the talking, the joy just shines out of them and they didn’t stop laughing all day. So I’ll stop jabbering on and here are my favourites…
Bryony says: “Finding the right photographer for our wedding was really important to us to get right. We are so glad we found Stevie. In the run up she was so easy to talk to and on the day she knew exactly what she was doing and made us feel so relaxed. She managed to capture all the different elements of the day and the results are so beautiful I just want to share them with everyone!”
